"It is a good sign that President Juncker’s speech brought the EU out of Brexit depression. The EU clearly has capacity and resolve to continue, and even strengthen itself. Expanding the Strategic Investments Fund is to be supported. Especially relevant is the understanding that the EU cannot remain a soft power in international politics. The EU is deplorably absent in Syrian peace efforts and therefore needs its own strategy for solving Middle Eastern conflicts. We need to concentrate on healing the roots of both the Middle Eastern conflicts as well as migration from Africa. Restoring support and trust of EU citizens means concentrating on basics – that is completing the single market in deeds, not in declarations, bringing to a conclusion international free trade agreements and starting to treat Member States’ meeting of their commitments without making any exceptions."@et1
