lpv:spoken text	"The EU is one of the world`s leading actors in the space industry and the EU`s space activities are very important for our union`s economic growth, scientific progress, social cohesion, industrial competitiveness and creation of jobs and enterprises. This report asks the Commission to present the EU`s short, medium and long term strategy on space policy and highlights the need to focus on market uptake of space data and services to maximise socio-economic benefits from the EU’s space programmes. Europe`s space policy is a fundamental contributor to the implementation of the Union`s policies on transport, environment, energy and others. Furthermore, the report asks for more support and involvement from regional and local authorities and the need to raise awareness of the advantages of Europe`s space programmes for the public and private sector. I fully support this report as I can see the need for a framework that fully benefits EU citizens."@ro2
