lpv:spoken text	"The 2030 Agenda presents itself as a new challenge for the establishment of policy coherence for development (PCD), as it puts forward a universal set of development goals applicable to all. This agenda gives the European Union the opportunity to be a leader in promoting a universal policy coherence for development, as there are 1.5 billion people still living in poverty around the world, most of which are women. The report in question calls for stronger linkage between PCD and the Sustainable Development Goals, better involvement of local and regional governments, civil society organisations and think tanks, impact assessment on the action being taken, the establishment of a complaint mechanism, an evidence based analysis of PCDs, the establishment of national and European strategies and the organisation of a specific European Council meeting on PCD. I am satisfied with the content of this report and I also believe that the European Union should make an effort to ensure more synergies among EU policies."@ro2
