"Data are essential in the current economy. ‘Data’ means knowledge, innovation and tools that can help stimulate entrepreneurship, help with administration or improve our education systems. Unfortunately, Europe is not in the forefront of the data-driven economy, even though it has a huge potential. In order to take advantage of this opportunity we need to be clear on the rules applying at European level, create the instruments to stimulate data-driven entrepreneurship and support the creation of a Europe-wide data economy infrastructure. Last but not least, we need to create a pan-European exchange of best practice and pool our experience in order to stimulate this sector, which is essential for the future of our economy."@ro2
