There are conflicts and war in many countries at the European borders. However, I abstained from supporting a this resolution as it overlooks very important elements of a complex solution, among others: properly addressing root causes for people to flee from their countries, the role of a European common foreign and security policy and the development aid policy, security and functionality of the Schengen area, risks for terrorism and huge numbers of internally displaced people in Ukraine."@lv2
