lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, in regard to all that has been said, I would like to ask the Commission to embrace the idea of the donor conference for South Sudan to fund the needs of humanitarian agencies on the ground. As you know, the last conference on South Sudan was held in Norway, but I do not think that calling upon the international community to convene the next round of the donor conference is a task for a single country. It is clear that the EU – with its global ambition and global responsibility – should play the leading role here. I am convinced that if the EU institutions work together on this, we can convince the international community to convene the next round of the donor conference on South Sudan and to make the difference which is desperately needed."@cs1
