"I voted in favour of Amendments 243-246 that strengthened the concept of net neutrality. As Amendment 234 states, ‘net neutrality shall mean the principle according to which all internet traffic is treated equally, without discrimination, restriction or interference, independently of its sender, recipient, type, content, device, service or application’. Such a definition of net neutrality, and the following amendments to lay out concrete measures to ensure the corresponding implementation, will provide citizens with guarantees that their interaction on the internet will not be subject to profiled and ungrounded controls that could be in breach of data protection and privacy laws."@et1
