"Like all of us here in this Chamber – or all those who should theoretically be in this Chamber at this moment – you represent the public. We in Parliament do not want to know the operational secrets. Of course we do not, because that would be very damaging. But we want to know, on behalf of the public whom you represent and whom we represent, whether an elected politician is in charge of coordinating the activities that the secret services jointly carry out. Is anybody watching what they are doing? If you say the Council is not doing so, then who is? Who is elected? Who is coordinating and supervising this work? It is very alarming if you say nobody is."@en4

Kontrolliert jemand, was sie tun?

"Te edustatte yleisöä, kuten kaikki me, jotka olemme parlamentissa läsnä – tai me kaikki, joiden pitäisi teoreettisesti olla parlamentissa tällä hetkellä. Me parlamentin jäsenet emme halua tietää toimintaan liittyvistä salaisuuksista. Emme tietenkään, koska se olisi hyvin haitallista. Haluamme kuitenkin tietää teidän edustamanne ja meidän edustamamme yleisön puolesta, onko vaaleilla valittu poliitikko vastuussa salaisten palvelujen yhteisen toiminnan koordinoimisesta. Valvooko kukaan niiden toimintaa? Kuka on valittu tehtävään?

Wie is gekozen?
