Does the Commission accept that this closure will have a profound effect on the local economy of the catchment area concerned, and, furthermore, will it clearly state that it will not allow – under any circumstances – the transfer of national sugar quotas under the new regime, since that would, in effect, cause the total destruction of the sugar industry in a Member State, as would be the case in Ireland?"@cs1

Gesteht die Kommission ein, dass diese Schließung sich tiefgreifend auf die lokale Wirtschaft der betroffenen Region auswirken wird, und kann sie ferner unmissverständlich erklären, dass sie unter keinen Umständen eine Abtretung einzelstaatlicher Zuckerquoten im Rahmen der neuen Regelung zulassen wird? Das würde nämlich zum endgültigen Niedergang der Zuckerindustrie in dem betreffenden Mitgliedstaat, in diesem Fall Irland, führen."@de9

È altamente probabile che tale mossa sia il risultato delle prospettive negative che sono circolate riguardo al futuro dell’industria dello zucchero.
